I’m keeping this weeks Thankful Thursday very simple. We’ve been in potty training mode since Monday, and we are still very much focused on that. Evie had been in a grumpy mood since the morning, and after a few struggles throughout the morning we were all done by noon. Sadly the mood continued after Evie’s nap time too.
I am so thankful for spontaneity, and just surrendering. By dinner time we just needed a laugh. I started it to try and get Evie smiling and giggling to cheer her up by smudging food on my face randomly and asking if I had something on my face. I then got Evie on her nose and cheek. Daddy got himself good. What came out of it all besides messy faces, was the opportunity to just relax and forget about everything else that had happened during the day. Sure enough giggles were had by all.

My hubby does the best job cheering up our toddler. I think it is because I am home with her all the time and when he finally gets home, she is just happy to have another person around!! Your little one is darn cute with the messy face though!! <3 Christine, The Choosy Mommy, http://www.choosykids.blogspot.com

Awe. You guys are so cute. I have not even attempted potty training the twins, so I can only sympathize. Hope next week goes better. 🙂

Adorable. It is always good to have a laugh and it’s great that you and Daddy are willing to have some fun. My daughter gets upset when I try to ‘play’ with Anna and her food. blah, kids deserve fun.

Fun story, just remember they will all get toilet trained eventually. Don’t stress yourself over it. If you wait long enough they just train themselves. Lol
