When Jason and I stated dating we soon found ourselves looking to the future. We’d often put out names that we really liked, and veto the ones that we didn’t like. We soon had a list of names we really loved by the time we were married.
I can remember waiting to find out if we were expecting a boy or a girl. We had a boys name and a girls name picked out. As soon as we saw the face the precious little face of our baby, and then found out that we were expecting a little girl her name was confirmed right there.
We stumbled across the name Everly after seeing the name Ever for a boy, and loved it. Simple, unique, and pretty. We gave her two middle names. One that is shared by all the girls in my family, and the other is the name of a dear friend who stood by my side on my wedding day. I can only hope that Evie becomes half the amazing, Godly woman she is some day.
For this little one that we are expecting, we have crossed off many names from our list. Some we’ve decided against, others have been claimed, or used by friends recently. There is a baby boom going on again between people we know. It’s an exciting time. Right now this little one is nameless. I’ve said to Jason that we may end up just translating “nameless” into another language at this point.
I’m sure a name will come at some point, wether it’s at the big ultrasound coming up, or when this little one arrives. I do like the idea of continuing tradition with the name that all the girls in my family share for a middle name. I also like honoring a friend or family with the second middle name. For the first name though we continue searching for boy and girl name ideas.
If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them.

Nameless in Dutch is Naamloos. 😉

That is awesome. I may start calling this baby by that as a nickname.

I always always always suggest the name Steven, even if it doesn’t suit the parents’ style. I love the name, but with my husband doesn’t think it works with our last name. I want to know a little baby Steven! Haha!
We always have a name picked out fairly early. Our girl’s name was the first one we thought of, while we were still dating, but since we have only had boys, it is still in our back pocket. We found names that go well with it though, and I really hope we can use it one day!
